lyrics
in the night i go to the trees
and i beg, i beg and plead
we wanted it, we got it
every branch i ask it why
why here, why hear in the in the sky?
we wanted it, we got it
every man, every man for himself
your identity is just vanity, every man, every man for himself
my anxiety seeks tranquility, every man, every man for himself
smiles and eyes all lacking brevity, every man, every man for himself
we can’t see it doesn’t need to be
every single man every man for himself
in the day i stare till i’m blind
calculating in my mind
we wanted it, we got it
the intervals of fluorescent color
every single bit, worth less than the other
we wanted it, we got it
every single man every man for himself
we wanted it, we got it
i’ve looked around town, you’re nowhere to be found
but the streets have your name, why aren’t you ashamed?
you know it’s wrong, but now we need a new law
you justify your greed, you say it’s them or me
you always need it all, you made it one big brawl
power money and fame, why aren’t you ashamed?
i don’t wanna know, how far you would go
so just admit it to me, that you’re a fucking sleaze
every single man, every man for himself
why aren’t you ashamed?
you’re just a fucking sleaze
Opener absolutely rips. Falls into the ranks of tracks like “Dance” by ESG, “Eisbaer” by Grauzone, “Damaged Goods” by Gang of Four or like the album description says Kleenex. This is some really good stuff. Favorite song is the opener but dedicate “Blue” to my friend Blue who lost her life at 22, she would have loved this album. TheBloodofChrist
